November 16, two 50,000tons class general purpose berths in the first phase of HBIS Huanghua port project passed the exam of readiness for handling import & export cargo ships. The two 50,000tons class berths for bulk materials and their stockpiling facilities are designed to handle 6.75million tons per year. The hydraulic structure of the berths adopts a design and construction of 100,000ton class capability. The port will handle iron ore, coal, bauxite, steel, steel scrap, alloy, spare parts and metallurgical machinery.
