60,000tons of HBIS Plates Building World’s Longest Bay Crossing Railway & Expressway Cable-Stayed Bridge

June 5, the Bay Crossing Railway & Expressway Cable-Stayed Bridge with the world’s biggest span, Ping Tan Bay Main Channel Bridge was completed. HBIS, as an exclusive supplier, delivered more than 60,000tons of high end bridge beam steel plates to build  key parts of the bridge. 

Ping Tan Bay Railway & Expressway Bridge is the toughest bridge project to build at the moment in China. Ping Tan Strait is one of three wind affected bays in the world and has high wind, high wave, deep water and strong current. Once, this place was  called the forbidden place for bridges. Thus, the requirements to steel material of the bridge is strict, extremely strict.
