September 11, HBIS Group Chairman Yu Yong met Siemens Advanta Global President Todd Weatherby, and both agreed to deepen cooperation in various areas and explore digitized reform of steel industry and the green and low carbon development. Siemens (China) Senior Vice President and Advanta (China) Head Jiang Chonglong were also attend the meeting.

Yu Yong said, over the years, HBIS and Siemens had established comprehensive cooperation, HBIS delivering extremely rich industrial apply scene and Siemens providing global leading digital technology has deeply integrated, and promotes the maximized both value mutually. Currently, Chinese steel industry is experiencing a new change, which reflects in digital and AI development, green low carbon development, and it offers new opportunities to HBIS and Siemens. Both could take full advantages of the cooperation to reduce the carbon emissions and merger the physical and virtual digital platform in actual production, to further explore cooperation space and innovate cooperation methods. At the same time, in accelerating the digital intelligent transformation, providing system energy-saving solutions, promoting additive manufacturing to the high-end field, ESG concept to enhance the influence of enterprises, to carry out in-depth and pragmatic cooperation to promote the sustainable development of the global steel industry.

Todd Weatherby said, HBIS had made a great success in international development, digital and green development. Siemens and HBIS have long history of cooperation and friendship in digitization, efficiency improvement, global business development. Siemens is very experienced in energy reform, merger of physical and virtual development, circular economy and ESG, owns top industry and technical experts in many countries around the world, and will give full play to the advantages of global technology and resources to provide more customized solutions for HBIS and better assist to the digitalization and sustainable development for HBIS. Both could continue to work in HBIS Serbia project, including circular development, system conservation, additive manufacturing and green low carbon development to mutually explore new collaborative path to achieve win-win and common development.
